Hospital Stay: Postpartum Complications

In this lesson you will learn about the potential complications that occur after birth. Such issues could include mastitis, postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum preeclampsia, baby blues, postpartum depression, insomnia, intense irritability, overwhelming fatigue and difficulty motivating yourself to do everyday tasks. You’ll also learn when to call the doctor or call emergency 911 for help if you have chest pain, obstructed breathing or shortness of breath, seizures, or thoughts of self-harm or harming your baby.
